MONDAY NIGHT RAW (5/29/17) PREVIEW – COLLISION COURSE
With the RAW brand pay-per view, Extreme Rules only six days away tensions between the all the superstars in the Fatal 5-Way are at an all time high. A title shot at current WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar looms as the ultimate prize for Sunday’s event. RAW General Manager has made sure all five superstars will be seeing action tonight as they all are set for a collision course for Sunday.
Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe will see action in a triple threat match up as we can almost guarantee a handicap match for the duration of this three way. Balor seems to be one of the favorites going into Sunday, as Paul Heyman put him over last week as a man who stands out above the rest of the competitors. Expect for both Joe and Wyatt to attempt to take Balor out before Extreme Rules narrowing the odds down in their favor. Although, with an unstable Wyatt, there is no telling if he will be willing to team up with Samoa Joe, or “Pearl Harbor” him in order to get the upper hand tonight.
Two former “Shield” members will be facing off against each other at Seth Rollins looks to soften up Roman Reigns in a singles competition. “The Big Dog” hasn’t been 100% going into any matchups since the continued mauling’s Braun Strowman has dished out in the past couple of months. With Rollins looking to once again claim the top spot and hold the championship again, “The Architect” may revert to his not so ethical ways in order to get a chance at Lesnar.
After tonight all five of these superstars will still be feeling the effects going into, Extreme Rules. With a shot at “The Beast” coming to the victor, they can only hope he doesn’t show up on Sunday. With this being the final show before the pay-per view event, expect a lot of fireworks and even more questions to arise.
Will we be getting more answers to who attacked Enzo Amore last week? Will RAW officially return to “The Golden Age” with Goldust reverting back to his heelish ways? And how will Bayley prepare for Alexa Bliss on Sunday? Tune in tonight at 8 p.m. eastern on the U.S.A Network to find out!
